Education:

  • 2006 - 2009 . Bachelor of Marine Science. The University of Queensland

Research Interests: Marine biology, coral reef ecology.

Honours project:

  • The ecological role of parasites in fish after settlement

My project will explore the parasite loads of larval and juvenile damselfish (Pomacentrus amboinensis) and examine whether they have an effect on fish growth and mortality. Morphological and molecular techniques will be used to identify larval parasites, growth rates will be determined using otoliths (earbones).
