Although there has been some research on colour displays and toxins in nudibranchs, little is known about their relevance towards possible predators. I will be investigating different warning systems in nudibranchs, the combination of conspicuousness and palatability in nudibranchs as a possible trade-off in predator warning systems, and whether these trade-offs are inherited or acquired as a consequence of predator pressure.
