Education:
- 2007 Honours in Coral Reef Ecology .
Research Interests: Cleaning behaviour, blood parasites, coral reef ecology
Honours Project:
Marie's project looked at the aposematic colouration of nudibranchs. I compared the colours of aposematic and non aposemtic nudibranchs against different backgrounds using spectrometry. I also tested whether nudibranchs were distasteful or not for reef fishes by chemical extraction in lab and in the field. Finally I investigated whether
reef fish (Thalassoma lunare) used colour cues to avoid distastefulness. This project allows me to be in the lab and in the field and gain a lot of experience.
